KS1 Class Teacher - Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity Leave

(starting September 2023)

Salary: TBC dependant on experience

 

Are you a passionate, caring and committed teacher looking to broaden your experience in a large, vibrant primary school? We have a vacancy in our Key Stage One team for a fixed term period of at least two terms, with the possibility of an extension, but will end on the return of the substantive post holder, in one of our three mixed Year 1 and 2 classes. As a valued member of the Carr Hill Primary Team, the post holder will be expected to build positive relationships, based on mutual respect and to be responsible for promoting consistently high standards through well-planned, engaging lessons. We are looking to appoint a strong practitioner to teach in KS1 for a fixed period of Maternity Leave cover. This position would suit a teacher who has recent experience of teaching in Key Stage 1, including phonics, wishing to develop their practice and curriculum management skills within a forward thinking and well-resourced school.

To be considered for this position, you will:

 

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have a sound understanding on safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education and be willing to undertake any training necessary in this area.
  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of primary teachers and teaching assistants.
  • Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons.
