Permanent Part-time Site Manager
Grade 3 (SCP 5) 22.2 hours per week
(split shift 6am-10am and 2.30pm-6pm, 3 days a week Weds, Thurs, Fri)
(£25,583 FTE equivalent)
Carr Hill Primary School is looking to appoint a reliable, proactive, and committed Site Manager to join our school community. Working alongside our existing part time Site Manager this is a vital role responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will take pride in the upkeep of the school premises and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the site.
Key Responsibilities
Key holder responsibilities.
Ensure the security of the premises and its contents, including responding to intruder alarms where applicable, and securing buildings after vandalism
Manage the heating of the premises, clean and maintain boiler plant equipment and heater cabinets, and report faults.
Liaise with and supervise contractors on site.
Supervise cleaning staff.
Assist departmental officers with building maintenance and general site matters when required.
Clean designated areas, including overhead kitchen canopies and carry out porterage duties as required.
Maintain all exterior hard surfaces and artificial/turfed areas.
Be available for evening and weekend lettings and respond to emergencies outside the working week, including intruders, fire, floods, and similar incidents.
Conduct legionella testing and monitoring and monitor and record the condition of asbestos.
Undertake any other duties reasonably within the nature, responsibilities, and grade of the post.
Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people and report any safeguarding concerns regarding children’s welfare or safety.
Attend required safeguarding training and maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities.
Person Specification
Education & Knowledge:
Good literacy and numeracy skills gained from general education together with some experience of similar duties supplemented by relevant training is necessary to undertake the full range of procedures for maintenance and repair of premises and sites, security and heating, health & safety, COSHH regulations, legionella, asbestos, supervision of cleaning staff, supervision of contractors
Skills & Competencies:
Reliable and punctual, good communication skills, strong teamwork skills, flexible and adaptable, good time management, general health & safety awareness, basic maintenance and repairs skills, awareness of security and safeguarding, strong record keeping and organisation skills, emergency response availability and capabilities.
Experience within Site Management would be desirable, but is not essential.
