8th July 2019

We have been exploring turns: ¼, ½ and ¾ turns in both clockwise and anticlockwise directions, as well as using the words left and right. We have been carrying out problem solving activities based on this also.

In English we have been writing about Traction Man’s thoughts and feelings. We have also been writing about our favourite parts of the story, giving reasons for this.

We have been learning about different trees. We went on a tree hunt around the school grounds and found lots of different varieties, such as: willow, horse chestnut, crab apple, silver berch, may blossom and cherry blossom.

We enjoyed taking rubbing of the different bark patterns, observing the differences.

This week’s English Star is Bernat. He has been really trying hard to improve the presentation of his work and his handwriting this week, with fantastic results.
