Wandering Willow

On Wednesday 1st November, Jay and Joe from Wonderful Woodlands Limited came into school to prune the willow dome that is in the school garden. Whilst they were here they worked with the gardening club to create a new willow tunnel.

The children helped with creating the holes in the ground, then planted the willow branches before twisting and tying the structure together. Hopefully, now that the gardeners have seen how to create willow shapes they can begin to work with Mr Grayson and Mr Haslam to create some other interesting structure.

That evening Mr Grayson received an Email from Jay who said, “What a wonderful group of children  . .  a great reflection on your school . .  (we were) blown away with how polite and willing to engage with the tunnel they all were . . days like today make going to work magical  . .  thank you so much.”
