This week’s Explorer of the Week is Elsie. She always sows fantastic behaviour for learning and tries her hardest. A superb example! Well done Elsie!
In English, we have been looking at the rhyming patterns in the Tiddler story. We have also been using Rainbow Grammar to help us understand sentences and the different parts of them. We learned that all sentences have someone or something (subject – marked in green), doing something (verb -marked in orange). We also looked at all sentences need full stops or alternative punctuation and in Rainbow Grammar we mark those in red.
In Maths we have been using our understanding of Place Value to help us to mark missing numbers on a number line. We have also been playing Roll It, Make it, Expand It to explore two digit numbers and recorded the expanded number sentences.
