On Friday 3rd February Years 3 and 4 visited The Elizabethan Academy for a Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths day where they all took part in five different activities about Healthy Eating.

The children completed experiments in the labs to find out the sugar content of different types of foods and drinks. They also took part in a treasure hunt in the library to find the healthiest (and unhealthiest!) drinks. The children particularly enjoyed making their own healthy salads using a range of vegetables. One of the activities also included potting spinach and pepper seeds into a tin can which we are going to grow at school over the next few weeks.

All of the children had a great day and the staff at Elizabethan commented on their excellent behaviour and good manners.
