Writing workshop: In writing workshop we have been writing our own suspense stories based on the short story ‘Red eye’. We have had some fantastic ideas and feel that our work has really improved in comparison to our ‘cold task’.

Maths: This week in maths we have further extended our column addition and subtraction skills by introducing decimals.  We then looked at worded problems which challenged our problem solving and reasoning skills.

School Council: This week we held a class election to nominate our school council representative.  Ten enthusiastic children put their names forward and after each delivering an election speech our votes were cast on ballot papers. After counting the votes our overall winner was Jamie and runner up Sophie. Well done and thank you to everyone that took part.  Below is a picture of our nomination process and eventual winner Jamie.

Our star of the week is Darren for excellent attitude and enthusiasm in writing workshop.

Our attendance this week was 91.8%
