We have continued reading the story of Rose Blanche and have been looking at how prefixes alter the meaning of words. A group of children worked very hard to sort different words under the prefix headings of ‘un’, ‘dis’ and ‘mis’ and then created different sentences using these words.
In Maths we have been practising adding and subtracting using 3 digit numbers and crossing the tens boundary. We have used dienes, number lines and place value counters to help us.
Ben brought in his Maths Homework Booklet to show the class how many tasks he has completed over the past few weeks. Well done Ben! Keep on completing the games at home and bring in your booklets to earn a ‘Marvellous Me’.
Next week is our ‘Harvest Festival Service’ and we have been practising singing a song acapella style. We hope to impress the Parents, Carers and visitors at the Service on Tuesday 17th October with our performance.

Our ‘Champion of the Week’ is Agnes for her continued hard work and effort in class and an improvement in her attitude to learning. Well done Agnes!
Everyone in our class has been at school this week so we gained an ‘Attendance Certificate’ and won the ‘Attendance of the Week Award’. Well done Class 3ES and keep it up!
