16th January 2017

English - We have really enjoyed writing our own instructions this week! We all came up with our own unique ideas from baking cakes, making shandys to trapping a seagull! We had to remember to include bossy words and time connectives ( e.g. First, next etc ).

Maths- We have been busy in maths this week. We have been practising our counting (2s,5s and 10s), practising subtracting and adding by counting backwards and forwards. Some of us have been learning to subtract larger numbers in our head by partitioning numbers into tens and ones.

Topic- We have started our new topic this week about 'The Great Fire of London'. We have learnt about how the fire started and why it spread so quickly. We are really excited about this topic and can't wait to learn more!

Marvellous Me - We hope you are enjoying receiving messages about all the good work we do in school. If you haven't signed up yet and you need another letter tell Mrs Robinson and she can give you another one.

This week's attendance was 96%

It's great to see that over 70% of parents have already signed up to the Marvellous Me App!

Marvellous Me is a free app which tells you marvellous news about your child’s learning and positive behaviours. If you haven’t already signed up then please speak to the school office or sign up at one of the links below.
