1st October 2018

Our attendance this week was 94% so we were unable to collect a second Good Attendance Voucher.

Greek Day: We looked for the ‘flavours of Greece’ by tasting some traditional foods, describing Greek landscapes and by trying out some Greek words and phrases.

Maths: We have been investigating how negative numbers are used in real life situations. For example, as the climbers went higher up the mountain, the temperature fell by 1 degree Celsius for each 100m of height gained. We knew that the base camp temperature was 4 degrees Celsius, but as we climbed, the temperature fell below freezing point.

Poem of the Moment: We have explored the scene described in Walter de Mare’s poem entitled Silver. Watch our video so that we can share it with you.
