6th March 2017

Our attendance this week was 98.4%

In Maths this week we have continued to work on decimals; however the focus we had was division.  For this, we had to use long division which caused use a few problems to begin with.  After several opportunities we were able to master the art of dividing decimals using long division and have become a little more confident at using it in the future.

Our English this week has focused around World Book Day where we looked at four different books by Shaun Tan.  They were all different styles of picture books where the story was told through the use of the pictures more than the words.  Some of the work we have produced on this will be put on display in the hall. One of our favourites was The Arrival which we looked at with Mr Rice on WBD.

From Harry Potter to The White Rabbit!

This week, our handshakes total was 12.

Our Star of the Week this week is Lewis for the fantastic way he has approached the decimals work that we have completed – he has truly been a star with decimals.  Well done and keep it up Lewis.
