3rd October 2016

This week in English we have been learning a suspense story called “The Red Eye”.  To do this we have had to create images that together build up a story map which we can then “read”.  Listen to our retelling of the story on our blog page.  We are very pleased with ourselves.

This week we have been looking at negative numbers and calculating with them.  AT first it was a bit tricky to remember that negative numbers might look bigger, but the bigger the digit, the smaller the number because they are smaller than zero!

We have been looking at artwork by Seurat, Van Gogh and Lowry and deciding which we prefer and why.  Having studied the different techniques they used, we are ready to attempt to create a landscape in the style of Lowry.  Watch this space for our efforts!

Our star of the week is Bethany for working hard to improve her times table work using her speed square at home.  Keep up the good work Bethany.

Our attendance this week is 93.8%

This week we earned 14 handshakes but were pipped at the post by Miss King’s class who earned 18!
