Maths:
In maths, we continued to use the bar model to help us solve problems.  There are still a number of us who find the bar model difficult to use but we keep persevering and when it is commentated on, find it easier to understand the problem.

English:
In English, we have been boxing up the story Red Eye so that we can see how it is structured and how it is a losing tale.  We have recorded the story in picture format and added important words that will  help us to write our own suspense stories next week.  We have also been looking at how different word classes are used within the story.

Harvest Festival:
Harvest Assembly was a real success—all the children sang beautifully and spoke clearly when reading our Harvest poem.  Thank you to all the parents who came along to celebrate with us.

Star of the week:
The Star of the Week this week Charlotte A for the enthusiastic way she has retold the Red Eye story using her voice to retell it effectively.

Handshakes:
This week we received 4 handshakes, Attendance was 96.6%
