This week we have been on a mission to save Humpty Dumpty. We looked at the different materials the children brought in and then talked about some of their properties. Were they hard or soft, bumpy or smooth and introduced new vocabulary such as flexible, rigid and transparent. The children decided which materials would be the best to protect Humpty if he fell. It was great fun and we only ended up with a couple of cracked eggs! Soft, smooth and thick were the properties we thought the materials should be.

In PE we have started to practice for our fun sports morning and the children got used working in teams and trying something new.

Well done to our bookworms and hand writers who earned certificates this week.
