In English, we have discussed the importance of using paragraphs to organise our writing. We have also started to write biographies about our class namesake, the Olympic athlete, Mo Farah. Look out next week for examples of our work.
This week in Maths we have continued to explore place value, with a focus on finding 10/100 more or less than a number. We have become much more confident when identifying the value of each digit in a 3-digit number.
This week we had to nominate and vote for class councillors. Everyone who wanted to be considered stood up and explained to the rest of the class why they thought they should be our class council rep. After our voting process, where we marked an X on the ballot paper, it was announced that Thomas was to be our class councillor and Tilly our vice councillor. Well done to Thomas and Tilly!
We also voted in a different way this week too. Our new pet fish needed a name so we made a list of our choices and then we voted! The winning names were Goldy and Bubbles!
This week our attendance was 97.8%. We earned 15 handshakes.
