KS1 Medieval Day
On Tuesday 27th March, children in Key Stage One arrived to school dressed in medieval attire as Lords, Ladies, Knights, Kings, Queens, Princesses and dragons to name but a few! The children enjoyed many activities to bring their ‘Captivating Castles’ topic to life including: learning a medieval dance routine that was fit for Royal entertainment! They even managed to produce their own sequences with partners and small groups.
They were also able to put their artistic skills to use, in designing a new shield, which were hung for all to admire in the ‘great hall’ while they tucked into a medieval feast fit for a King or Queen, complete with entertainment! After discovering some CCTV evidence of what seemed to be a dragon swooping over the playground of Carr Hill, they headed outside in search of dragon eggs, only to discover masses of mini chocolate eggs to be collected, shared and of course, devoured!
Great fun was had by all!
