Welcome to 5 Mary Anning Blog (Mr Beswarick’s class)

Our attendance this week was 98.8% so we were able to collect another attendance voucher.

Interpreting Nebamun’s tomb: We have been examining the images from a tomb that was built for a royal official in ancient Egypt. Like the museum curators at the British Museum, we have been trying to gather evidence about Nebamun’s life, his home, his leisure time and the role he played at work.

Talk for Writing: We have been turning our Howard Carter study text into a T4W mind-map. This is helping us to remember the detailed facts about the discovery of Tutankhamun so that we can transfer ideas and phrasing into our own writing.

Geranium Cuttings: We are testing out our method of ‘cloning’ plants as opposed to creating new plants via pollination and seeds.
