10th October 2016

Our attendance this week was  99.7%. This was the highest score and so we were able to collect our second Good Attendance Voucher, the medals and the trophy. Well done everyone!

Maths: We’ve created our tables speed-square personal bests. In 8 minutes or less, we needed to try to complete all 100 tables facts. Now we’ve begun to try to speed up our thinking using our Gladiator tables game. We’re looking to move our ‘named foot’ up the ladder as our personal best improves! A small step at a time is all that is needed.

Looking through Lowry’s Eyes: We viewed a range of match-stalk men and match-stalk cats and dogs images painted by LS Lowry. We were able to compare and contrast features of his work with our favourite Vincent Van Gogh landscapes. We found similarities between some of Lowry’s work and with the Iron-bridge buildings that we visited.

This week we collected 5 handshakes, but this was not enough to win the Class of the Week Trophy.
