12th June 2017

In maths we have worked out questions about past elections. It was a good choice as the election was currently taking place. Some of the questions were harder than others but we all did quite well. We also took a small skills test in which we labelled red, yellow or green depending on how many we got right.

In English we have completed a spelling test that included 101 words. We found it difficult but we got some good scores.

In topic we have started to watch a film: The prince of Egypt. Our topic usually is based on a book but this time it is based on the film. We also made some comic strips about Ancient Egyptian gods.

Ancient Egypt Day
On Tuesday we were having an ancient day and were learning about Egypt. We smelled spices and tried to identify  them. We took part in a drama which we had to dress up as a Ancient Egyptian. It was a  burial of a prince. We pretended to mummify a skeleton that once was actually alive.

Rounders Tournament
On Thursday 8th June some of us went to a rounders tournament with some of the other year sixes and some year fours. We did quite well because we won all of our games except the play offs. This left us in second place over all but we only lost by 1 point!
