English: There have been plenty of opportunities for us to write during this week. Firstly, we completed our ‘Hot Task’ as part of our Talk for Writing work. Basically, we used the structure of the story ‘Red Eye’ to help us write our own suspense story. As well as this, we have written an explanation of a science experiment based on our topic of ‘Forces’. A busy week overall!

Maths: In maths we have now mastered adding and subtracting fractions, even when the denominators are different. This means that we can now tackle questions like this:

Potato Bus— By the end of the week, all of the children in the class had had the opportunity to visit ‘Billy Branston’s Potato Bus’ to learn more about different types of potato and the way that they are grown. All of the children were very enthusiastic about the experience with the tasting session being particularly popular!

Our Star of the Week was Larissa. Larissa always gives 100% no matter what she is doing. Her work rate and resilience is fantastic. Well done Larissa!

We managed 22 handshakes this week… and finally we won Class of the Week!

Our attendance this week was 90.6%
