English: This week in English we have been working on semi colons and colons. We have learnt about the different ways that these tricky bits of punctuation can be used in a sentence. In our next piece of writing, we will be aiming to include an accurate example of a semi colon and a colon.

Maths: Our maths work this week has been based around fractions. We have now pretty much mastered equivalent fractions and next week we’ll move onto adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions.




Anti Bullying— This week has been Anti Bullying Week. To mark this, Year 6 have created their own anti-bullying comic strips based on a short film called ‘For The Birds’. There have been some excellent pieces of work, 2 of which you can see below. If you’d like to watch the film ‘For The Birds’, click on the link below.

Our Star of the Week was Rihanna. As well as being a superb contributor in class, Rihanna has been a fantastic representative for our school in both tag rugby and athletics this week. Well done Rihanna!

We managed 15 handshakes this week—still not enough for the elusive Class of the Week trophy!
