12th February 2018

In English this week we have been learning how to use semi-colons to mark boundaries between independent clauses. We have also been looking at clause structures and discovering what effect moving the subordinate clause can have on the sentence. We have also been working hard on completing SATs papers for Reading and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. Mrs Hibbert is very proud of all of the hard work and effort that the children put into their tests this week.

In maths this week we have been continuing our work on decimals and have been converting fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.

In RE this week we have created pictures of what we think the world looked like when it was first created.

Here are some of the finished products:

The children are working really hard on their handwriting and an amazing eight children managed to get their pen licenses! Congratulations to Lucy, Ella Ba,  Summer, Sophie, Wyatt, Milly, Leo C and Rebecca.

Our attendance was above 98% again and we gained another attendance certificate to add to our collection. Keep it up 6MY!
