In English this week we have been practising our persuasive letters, for our hot write. We had to include subjunctive form, modal verbs and rhetorical questions (at least 3 times each). We have loved learning how to make our letters persuasive! We could either write to the Prime Minister, supermarket or brands. We had to explain to them that they should not use palm oil. We did our hot write on Thursday and we cannot wait for what Miss Footitt thinks when she marks it.
In maths this week we have been doing more work on fractions. Specifically questions like 1/2 of 7 and 2/4 of 7. In our most recent lesson, we learned about the 4 rules (multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting) and it was quite a challenge. Although, we did get through it and we cant wait for next weeks lesson.
This week in topic we have found out about our new exiting topic which is The Circle of Life. So far we have done many different tasks including word searches, made our front covers and we did our knowledge organisers. Hopefully next week will be even better.
