In English this week the children have been doing some more work on poetry. They began by looking at a poem called A Day in the Life of Danny the Cat. Using this poem, they picked out the different poetry features from the text. Then they had a go at performing the poem in pairs and the pictures of this can be seen below.
In Maths this week the children have been working on finding equivalent fractions. We have talked about the use of times tables to help us find equivalent fractions and they then used this knowledge to answer problems related to these types of fractions.
In Topic the children made their Mayan head dresses! They really enjoyed being creative and given the freedom to make their own designs.
Before the holidays Y3 had a visit from the Fire Service. They learnt about what to do if a fire occurred, how to raise the alarm and they even got to sit in the fire engine!
Our ‘Champion of the Week’ is Scarlett because she has been working hard on her maths work. Well done Scarlett!
We received five handshakes this week.
