30th January 2017

In English the children have been working on using more powerful verbs in their writing, using inverted commas correctly for speech and they are working towards writing complex sentences.

In Maths we have started work on our new topic, Measurement. The children began by using a range of different types of measuring equipment in order to measure items in the classroom. They then moved onto converting different units of measurement and answering measurement worded problems.

In Topic the children have been learning about Hadrian’s Wall. They worked in groups to collect different facts about the wall and they are currently producing their own posters about Hadrian’s Wall.

Our ‘Champion of the Week’ is Liam because of his fantastic work on division and measurement in maths. Well done Liam!

We received twelve handshakes and achieved 94% attendance this week.
