28th November 2016

In English the children have started a new English Topic. Over the next few weeks, the children will be doing work around the non-fiction text, The Tree Giant. The children have been working hard this week to use actions to retell the story and some photos of this can be seen below. They have also been working on their reading comprehension skills.

In Maths the children have been working on their division skills. They began by looking at how multiplication and division facts are linked and they are currently practising using an empty number line to work out the answer to division questions and will be continuing to work on this next week.

In Topic the children have been learning about the longest rivers in the world and they then used Google Earth to correctly label rivers on a map.

In French we have been learning how to greet someone and tell them our names.  We enjoyed learning a short rhyme to practise some phrases.’

Our ‘Champion of the Week’ is Leon because at the start of the year he really disliked Maths and found it quite tricky but  now he is absolutely loving the subject and has produced some fantastic Maths work. Well done Leon!

Attendance was 93.6% this week.
