In English this week the children have been finishing off their story writing using fronted adverbials, speech and sentences of three for description. They have also been working on their reading comprehension skills.

In Maths the children have been working on using mental and written methods when answering multiplication questions. The children have been learning how to use the grid method to answer more difficult multiplication questions.

They have also been applying their skills by playing some multiplication games and the links can be found below so children can continue to practise at home.

This week it’s Anti Bullying Week. We have been working together as a class to think about bullying and the impact it has on others. The children created their own Anti Bullying posters and the pictures can be seen below.

On Friday it was also Children In Need day. The children enjoyed dressing up in spots and brought in their injured teddy bears! All of the Y3 children took part in a colouring competition and the winner will be announced next week.

Our ‘Champion of the Week’ is Ethan because he has been trying incredibly hard with his spellings this week. Well done Ethan!

We received four handshakes and our attendance was 96%
