In English this week the children have been planning their new Jack and the Beanstalk story. They have been making small changes to the story so that they can then write their own next week. They then retold their story to their partners as you can see in the photos. We have been also focusing on using fronted adverbials in sentences to make their writing more interesting.

In Maths the children have been finishing off their work on addition. Most children can now use regrouping confidently and they were able to use their knowledge of column addition to answer word problems.

In Science we have begun work on Sound. This week we have been learning about the function of the ear, how sounds are made and heard as well as how sound travels through different media.

On Thursday the children took part in their Harvest Assembly. All of the children were fantastic and sang beautifully. Well done everyone.

Our ‘Champion of the Week’ is Lilly because she is always kind and helpful to everyone. She was also very brave at the Harvest Assembly and stood up to read a prayer to the audience. Well done Lilly!

Our attendance was 99.2% We had the highest attendance in the school so we won the clock and medals. Well done everyone!
