10th October 2016

In English this week the children have been editing and improving their dream recounts. They have also been working on correctly using inverted commas to punctuate speech and writing a description of three sentence. The children produced some fantastic work and used a range of exciting vocabulary in their sentences.

In Maths this week the children have been using the column method to add numbers up to three digits. The children found this quite tricky at first but everyone can now confidently add three digit numbers together using the column method. Most children are now working on regrouping and we will be continuing to work on this next week.

In Music we have been looking at the song ‘Three Little Birds’ by Bob Marley. We have been thinking about the tempo and the instruments which are used in the song.

We have also been spending time practising our Harvest Festival songs. The children are very excited to be performing these next Thursday. We are looking forward to seeing some of you there.

Our ‘Champion of the Week’ is T-Jay because he has worked hard to improve his writing. In his dream recount he took care to use capital letters and full stops in the correct places. He also used a range of exciting vocabulary to add description to his work. Well done T-Jay!

We received ten handshakes this week.

This week’s attendance was 99.2%
