This week in maths we have been working on developing our multiplication and division skills. We have been looking at different written methods for solving these operations. In addition we have deepened our knowledge of these operations to ensure that we have lots of strategies for dealing with tough word, problem solving and reasoning based questions.
This week in English we bought to a close our work on persuasive writing and have begun our new topic on non-chronological reports. The class have been developing their knowledge of the language and structural features that are common in this style of writing.
We have been continuing our work on our new topic of circle of life, in which we will be developing our knowledge of different classifications of animals and microorganisms. We are looking forward to starting our experiment next week, which will look at the way mould grows and develops on bread.
