Week 3 Jane Goodall Blog


This week we have been looking at rounding numbers and looking at which digit we need to round to in order to give us the correct answer.


This week in English we have been looking at the British Olympic Diver Tom Daley. We have been developing our knowledge of this inspirational person to help us in writing our up coming biographies.

European Languages Day

We had a day of looking at the European country of Greece and learning about its culture, history and language.

Week 2 Blog Doctor Jane Goodall

This week has seen us achieve our second attendance certificate which we will be using for a reward later in the term. Keep up the good work. 



This week in English we have been looking at the different features of a biography and the types of grammar we can use to improve our writing. 


This week in Maths we have been continuing to look at place value and how we can order and compare different numbers of amounts up to one million. 


 In topic this week we have been looking at Victorian games to help inspire us for creating our carousels.

Welcome to the Dr Jane Goodall Class blog where we will keep you up to date about our class adventures. 

In week two we have achieved our first attendance certificate of the year and will be collecting these throughout the year for class rewards. 

In English this week we have been looking at the biographies of Roald Dahl, J K Rowling and Usain Bolt and the main features that make up biolographical writing.

This week in Maths we have been looking at the Place Value of numbers and how we represent different numbers and are able to express them as written words and their numerical value. 

This half term in topic our focus is Scream Machine and we will be looking at different rides and how which forces operate on them. We have been working hard to design our own carrousels that we will be making throughout this half term. 

School Council
We would like to congratulate all the individuals that ran for election for this years school council. Following an excellent number of confident speeches and a tight final vote, Wayde came out on top and was elected as our class representative for the school council.
