Welcome to 5 Jacques Cousteau Blog (Mr Beswarick’s class)

Our attendance this week was 98.6% so we were able to collect our second Good Attendance Voucher.

Retford Visit: While at the museum, we built a floor-map of Retford, tracking its development over time. We learned about the shallow ford, the market charter granted by Henry I and about the impact of the canal and the railway. We also collected the different types of occupations that have been part of the Retford scene over the years. For example, we went to Dyer’s Court to see where Clark’s Laundry was and we went to see where the White Hart Inn used to stable the horses ready for the passing stage coaches.

This week we collected no handshakes at all.
