What a week! We had a great haul of handshakes with 14 this week, earned by being kind and helpful in school. Our attendance score was ….. and therefore still not good enough to earn an award, sadly.
The children have experienced printing with polystyrene stampers this week as part of our Topic work. They designed and made some Roman mosaics sing squared paper to guide their work. Here are some images from the art afternoon that we had on Wednesday.
World Book Day
Wow! What costumes! The children all made a really great effort to dress up but I realise that it takes parents to organise such costumes. Thank you!
We, as a Phase group, decided to look at books by Anthony Browne and a story called, “Look what I’ve got!” in particular. The children noted that one of the characters in the book was a little spiteful whilst the other, Sam, seemed much more pleasant. Eventually, the class noticed that there were other reasons why Sam didn’t seem bothered by Jeremy’s bragging – reasons that could only be picked up by studying the illustrations very, very carefully!
Following an in-depth look at the story, we did some art based on the final page of the book. Some of our work will be on display in the corridor soon so please do have a look.
Letters have been given out for the following things. Please try to get replies and any monies in to school next week if at all possible, thanks.
