26th September 2016

A great week in many respects! Not only did we only just miss out on 100% attendance, scoring 99.7% but we were awarded ‘Class Of The Week’ for collecting 9 handshakes. The trophy is standing proud in our classroom window for all to see!

Our work has begun to be put up on the wall – so far, a display of our beanstalk projects and our perspective paintings of giants, for which we have received lots of positive comments from members of staff.

Reminders this week are fairly general…..
Reading done at home, either to parents or alone, needs to be recorded in the reading record books so that Miss King can award stars for frequent reading, on Fridays.

PE kits are needed every Thursday and Friday unless a note is sent in from home to excuse a child from the lesson. Now that clubs such as KS2 Multiskills, Football and Rugby have started, kit might also be needed on other days. As the weather gets cooler, a spare jumper and jogging bottoms are more suitable.

Finally, parents are invited to request an appointment for Open Evenings on either Tuesday 18th or Wednesday 19th October. Send in the slip with a suggested time between 4pm and 6pm, as soon as possible.

That’s all for this week!
