A fabulous attendance score of 98.3% and a winning score of 50 handshakes even though we have to share the trophy with 2 other classes. Well done to everyone who earned one!

We have had a busy week planning and writing our ‘Invention’ story which took the form of a wishing tale, rather like Jack and the beanstalk. I am really looking forward to reading the work and have told the children that anyone showing great improvement in their writing will receive a superstar certificate.

In Mathematics, we have begun looking in more depth at multiplication and division. The children have refreshed their memories about number arrays and the different ways that they can describe what they are seeing. Here are a couple of photographs.

In Topic this week, we have begun to look at the location of countries, continents and oceans around the world. Here is an annotated picture that we all completed in our Topic files.

As the weather is getting chilly and sometimes more rain is falling, please can you ensure that your child has a suitable warm coat and also a spare jumper in their outdoor PE kit.

The PTA are holding their Christmas Fair in the school hall on Friday November the 18th so come along and enjoy buying some festive treats and stocking fillers!
