In PE we have been focusing upon improving our hand-eye co-ordination skills in our ‘Multi-skills’ lesson. We had to bounce a ball and pass it to our partner using either a under-arm throw, a bounce pass or over-arm throw. We enjoyed practising the different throwing techniques.
In English we have continued studying the poem, ‘A Day In The Life of Danny The Cat’ by Benjamin Zephaniah. This is linked to the unit ‘Performance Poetry’, and below is a video of our class performance. We all worked very hard to learn the poem and add actions to our performance.
Our ‘Champion of the Week’ is Zac, who has been listening carefully during lessons and confidently volunteering to share his ideas and answers with others. Well done Zac!
Our ‘English & Maths Stars’ are Megan and Finlae. Megan worked very hard on her ‘Fractions Hot Task’ and her work showed a dramatic improvement from the ‘Cold Task’, and she also completed the extension task. Well done Megan! Finlae has been trying very hard to improve her comprehension skills and performed the poem, ‘Danny the Cat’ confidently. Well done to you both!
Our new ‘Spelling Bee Champion’ is Megan, as she scored 7 out of 10 on the ‘Spelling Bee Test’. Well done Megan!
