In maths we have been learning how to multiply a two-digit number by a one-digit number using the expanded method.  Some of us have moved onto using the short formal method of multiplying.  Ask us to show you which method we have been practising so we can show you how marvellous we are at maths!

Before Christmas we adopted a donkey called William D from ‘The Donkey Sanctuary’.  Today we received a letter saying that someone has adopted William D and he has moved into his forever loving home.  We hope he will be very happy there.  So we have now adopted a donkey called ‘Harbin’ who was born in 2007 and loves playing with wellies.

This week we started our topic, ‘The Romans’, and have found out lots of interesting facts and information already.  We had great fun learning about the Roman Army in PE, putting together a dance where half of the class were Romans, and the other half were from Britain.  The Roman soldiers were a lot more organised than the Britain’s.  We can’t wait to find out more about our topic!  Any facts or information children find out at home can be brought into school to be shared with the class

The ‘Champion of the Week’ is Logan for improved effort and concentration in lessons.  Keep it up Logan!

Some children have moved up the ‘Handwriting Ladder’.  Well done and keep on trying.

We earnt 11 handshakes this week. Attendance was 90%

It's great to see that over 70% of parents have already signed up to the Marvellous Me App!
