European Day of Languages 2015
The European Day of Languages (EDL), a Council of Europe initiative held annually on the 26 September, is now established across the continent as an opportunity to celebrate language learning and the diversity and enrichment that languages bring to our lives and to understand and celebrate the different cultures.
This year, at Carr Hill we decided to give the day a Spanish flavour. Each year group took responsibility for learning a different topic from simple greetings, colours and numbers to animals and favourite sports. So if we should be so lucky as to visit Spain or a Spanish speaking country we might be able to remember and use some of this new knowledge! Take a look to find out more about what we did.
