13th March 2017

This week we have had chance to see with our own eyes how the houses in Pudding Lane would have burned so quickly! Mr Haslam helped us set some of our model houses alight and we watched from a safe distance.
It was interesting to see them burn and the fire spread from house to house just like in the real Fire of London.
A big thank you to those children who agreed to let their houses be used for this activity.

In our topic work this week we have been looking at how exercise effects our bodies. We compared what happened to our bodies before, during and after exercising.
We had to look closely and think hard and noticed differences to our skin, our heart beats and our breathing.
Here we are exercising and having fun!

We also learned the parts of the body. We drew round Kenzie and then read some body part words off the board and labelled our drawing correctly.

In maths this week we had a “Let’s show off” session.
We used different resources and worked on a whiteboard to show what we know about counting, adding, taking away, multiplying.

In English this week we have been completing our Text Maps about keeping fit and healthy, so we can start to make our own information leaflet soon. We need to practise writing sentences next week and work harder to remember capital letters and full stops.

Well done to this week’s Super Star Summer  for working hard all week and becoming a lot more confident in her abilities.

We have 2 handshake this week!

Lasts weeks attendance was 94.1%
