3rd October 2016

In our English lessons we have been making story maps for The Enormous Crocodile.
We make story maps so that we can look at the pictures in order and follow them to help us tell the story.

We will be using a story map when we write the story later in the half term.

We have been learning to tell The Enormous Crocodile story. We have been sing actions, and have filmed the children retelling the story with a little help. Here is the film of our story telling.

We have been practising our handwriting, making sure we are starting in the correct place and going the right way round.

Keep making opportunities to write at home please.
Keep practising our class poems, some of you don’t know them yet! We need to learn them!
We will be adding another one soon!

In Maths we have been learning number bonds to 10. We have been making a whole amount using counting equipment and splitting them into 2 parts. We have also been working on making and writing number stories.
Here is some of the work we have been doing in Maths.

Keep practising reading and writing your number names to ten please. We need to be able to spell all of them!

This week’s Super Stars are Cameron for trying hard to improve his handwriting, and Jayden P for working really hard in Maths to make his own number bonds.

Handshakes: 4
