10th October 2016

This week we have been learning about the different characters in The Enormous Crocodile and have used adjectives to describe what they look like and how they behave.

We have begun talking about changing the story now so we can make up our own. We will do this by changing the main character. We have decided what our new main character is and have drawn a picture of them and used some adjectives to describe them.

In Maths we have been learning to add by counting on using a number line.
We have been learning to add by counting objects and also how to write addition sentences.

We have been working on our Maths Targets this week, counting in tens and fives.
Keep practising at home.
This 100 square will help you.

We have been learning about Jungles in our Get back in your Swamp! Topic. We have learnt that there are loads of plants and animals, that the top of a jungle there is the ‘canopy’ and that it is very hot and wet.
We will be using our atlases to find out which continent s the jungles are in. We are trying hard to remember the names of the different continents in the world.
We hope you enjoy our Harvest Assembly this week.
We are looking forward to going to the Elizabethan Academy on Tuesday morning to take part in a Multi-skills event.

This week’s Super Stars are Arianna for being an excellent friend and sharing the fruit, Cherry for completing her star chart and Ellie- Mae for working hard on her counting in 5’s target in Maths.
